El taller, cuyo objetivo principal es hacer un análisis sobre los procesos de calidad y, particularmente, la evaluación y certificación de repositorios, aborda cuatro aspectos principales: el primero de ellos, un análisis exhaustivo referido al significado de calidad en el contexto de los repositorios; el segundo, a la interoperabilidad y las directrices para los repositorios, debido a que la interoperabilidad es una condición imprescindible para asegurar la calidad. Un tercer aspecto, vinculado efectivamente a la evaluación y certificación de los repositosios, donde se exponen guías, certificados e incluso normas y cómo pueden obtenerse las certificaciones de la calidad, así como la experiencia en Portugal en la puesta a punto de los repositorios nacionales, de acuerdo a la norma ISO 16363; se exponen los diagnósticos y resultados de la auditoría realizada internamente y los diagnósticos de calidad. Para culminar, un primer pantallazo sobre los retos de la nueva generación de repositorios de acuerdo a la mirada de COAR.
