Abstract
On ne joue pas seulement aux jeux vidéo pour passer le temps, mais pour étendre son réseau social, acquérir des habiletés de communication ou apprendre une langue étrangère. L’expérience des jeux vidéo contribue au façonnement de modes cognitifs, au développement de compétences techniques et sociales et, de manière plus générale, à la reconfiguration du rapport au monde. Voilà pourquoi, d’un axe quelque peu marginal, le jeu vidéo devient un domaine de recherche à part entière. Ce livre s’inscrit dans le prolongement des travaux du groupe de recherche Homo Ludens de l’Université du Québec à Montréal. Issus de diverses disciplines, les auteurs sont spécialistes des jeux vidéo.
