Abstract
Cet article examine dans quelle mesure les politiques d’assouplissement, de décloisonnement et d’individualisation des parcours scolaires au Québec favorisent la démocratisation de l’enseignement supérieur. Une analyse des données longitudinales tirées du fichier administratif du ministère de l’Éducation montre que l’institutionnalisation des parcours non linéaires contribue de façon significative à accroître la proportion des jeunes issus de milieux défavorisés accédant aux études supérieures et y obtenant un diplôme. Cette contribution demeure toutefois relativement limitée, car ces parcours sont davantage empruntés par leurs pairs issus des milieux de classes moyennes.
