Abstract
Toutes les villes sont multilingues, mais pour certaines, les tensions linguistiques revêtent une importance particulière. Pourtant, malgré la menace constante de conflits, des villes comme Calcutta, Trieste, Barcelone et Montréal offrent des milieux riches d'interactions, souvent très créatifs. Dans l'espace physique comme dans la production artistique et littéraire, ces lieux sont traversés par les forces vives de la traduction.
