Les préoccupations à l’égard du phénomène des gangs de rue sont suffisamment importantes pour que le gouvernement du Québec finance une série de mesures de prévention, d’intervention et de répression prévues dans le Plan d’intervention québécois sur les gangs de rue1. Ces nombreux efforts génèrent une augmentation du nombre de membres de gangs placés sous la responsabilité des centres jeunesse et des services correctionnels
