Abstract
Le Parti communiste du Canada, section de l’Internationale Communiste, a été fondé en 1921. Selon la majorité des historiens, le leadeurship du parti canadien a aligné sa politique sur le modèle proposé par les leadeurs de la Révolution russe en hiérarchisant et centralisant les structures et en adoptant une discipline rigoureuse. Pourtant, les documents d’archives de l’Internationale Communiste démontrent une certaine flexibilité des politiques et des initiatives d’en bas par les cadres locaux. En outre, les dissidences et la résistance aux directives du « centre » peuvent être observées au sein du parti pendant l’entre-deux-guerres.
