In this paper, a modified uniplanar compact antenna array is designed at millimeter-wave (mm-wave) frequency bands for future 5G communications. The proposed antenna is composed of five mm-wave hexagonal antennas forming an array and printed on RO3003 flexible substrate. The proposed antenna covers the 24-30 GHz frequency range with a bandwidth of 6 GHz and exhibits a maximum gain of 10.7 dB. Moreover, the pattern can be steered at different desired angles by sweeping the frequency, similar to a leaky wave antenna. The simplicity of the design makes it suitable for 5G communications.
