Abstract
Dans ce court article, nous souhaitons comparer l’importance relative du Canada et du Mexique par rapport aux États-Unis, plus particulièrement dans le cadre du marché énergétique nord-américain. Dans l’ensemble, le Mexique ne peut être comparé au Canada, car, s’il l’est, nous sommes en présence de pommes et d’oranges. En effet, quels que soient les critères retenus, le Canada est de loin le partenaire énergétique le plus important pour les États-Unis. En outre, les deux États comparés ont des systèmes politiques différents, des régimes d’investissement divergents, ainsi que des perspectives asymétriques de développement dans le long terme.
