Abstract
L’objet de cet article est d’appréhender le comportement sociétal des entreprises multinationales à l’égard de leurs différents territoires d’implantation, en analysant les pratiques sociétales et leurs déterminants. A partir d’une étude empirique sur les pratiques d’un échantillon de multinationales françaises, nous mettons en évidence un comportement d’arbitrage dans le choix des actions sociétales en fonction des territoires. Notre recherche contribue à démythifier la responsabilité sociale de l’entreprise multinationale à l’égard de ses territoires en faisant ressortir une concentration des actions en faveur d’un nombre réduit de territoires ainsi qu’un jeu stratégique dans le choix de l’échelle de régulation de certaines questions.
