Abstract
The present article aims to debate the actions of literacy in the project of extension called Capoeira and Literacy of Resistence, developed in 2016 – 2017 in the quarter Cidade com Deus, Camocim-CE. Counting with the support of Department of StudentAssistance of IFCE – Camocim campus - and also with the help of the capoeira group Capoeira Regional Mestre Avila, the actions of the project aimed to strengthen the relationship between the formation of children and teenagers as capoeiras, their identity debates and the critical-reflexive conscience based on the literacy practices. Besides this, the monitors students in processof teaching formation had the opportunity to deal with practices of teaching-learning beyond the struturalisticcanon, what contributes to their critic teaching formation.
