Abstract
Na família, ocorrem vários eventos que deixam marcas e afetam a dimensão psicoemocional de seus membros, destaca-se aqui a gestação, que exerce pressão sobre a família. Objetivou-se avaliar a família da gestante com vulnerabilidade social e compreender as condições de vida à luz do Modelo Calgary de Avaliação da Família. Estudo de caso, descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa, realizado com duas gestantes do Projeto de Extensão Roda de Conversa com Gestantes e Crianças. Os dados foram coletados no segundo semestre de 2016, utilizando-se questionário validado no referencial teórico metodológico Modelo Calgary. O genograma e ecomapa possibilitaram a compreensão da dinâmica familiar e a identificação dos principais problemas enfrentados. Concluiu-se que o conhecimento sobre a dinâmica familiar subsidia o cuidado à gestante em situação de vulnerabilidade social e a sua família, possibilitando ao enfermeiro auxiliar na identificação de fragilidades e potencialidades, estimulando e orientando a busca de formas efetivas de organização da vida.
