Abstract
Ce texte entreprend de réfléchir au « tournant pratique » analysant le champ de l’international par les pratiques à partir du texte de Vincent Pouliot. Nous saisissons l’occasion de ce forum pour examiner son plaidoyer pour un tournant pratique enri(qu’il nomme la logique du praticable), à la lumière de la politique disciplinaire. Nous soutenons que son texte constitue une intervention politique au sein du champ desripour faire accepter par le mainstream un tournant pratique. Nous procédons en trois temps : 1) un arrêt par le tournant linguistique, contre lequel se positionne le tournant pratique, en invoquant la division constructivisme-poststructuralisme ; 2) l’exploration du plaidoyer de Pouliot, ainsi que ses intentions, ses limites et l’épistémologie sobjectiviste qui sous-tend sa méthodologie interprétative ; et 3) une critique du sobjectivisme comme ne permettant pas à la discipline d’intégrer la richesse du détail de l’enquête ethnographique et constituant du coup un acte politique en faveur d’une vision scientiste de la discipline.
