Le culturel dans le dessin d’enfant : de l’adaptation de l’interprétation à une phénoménologie de la culture

Abstract
Cet article vise à sensibiliser le lecteur à l’importance de l’aspect culturel dans l’interprétation du dessin. Il soutien et nuance également la pertinence du dessin d’enfant comme instrument méthodologique d’étude des phénomènes subjectifs et culturels, en permettant une proximité privilégiée avec un sujet vivant dans une culture. Une illustration est présentée à partir d’une étude de cas de 4 dessins (libre, bonhomme, famille, famille idéale) d’un enfant de la Côte d’Ivoire recueillis dans le cadre de la recherche internationale CoPsyEnfant. Cette illustration nous amène à conclure que la culture doit être considérée pour l’interprétation, mais que le processus d’interprétation lui-même nous permet de découvrir la culture. Nous explorons finalement la valeur du dessin comme phénoménologie culturelle, et le proposons comme matériel permettant de formuler des hypothèses et questions sur les transformations culturelles, ou sur la culture dans sa forme actuelle.
