L’auteure étudie la double gradation, de la valeur et du contact, des crises en tant qu’événements journalistiques. Elle examine les médiatisations numériques des crises à partir de la définition peircienne de l’argument en tant que signe permettant une programmation du futur ou rétrodiction. Cela permet de mettre en lumière une dimension empirique prospective, tout aussi caractéristique des crises contemporaines que de leur contingence expectative.
