Abstract
La ville de Sabaudia est fondée entre 1933 et 1934, dans les marais Pontins, en Italie. Elle fait partie d’un projet d’assainissement et d’aménagement mené par le régime fasciste. Dès sa création, son architecture, dont le retentissement est international, donne lieu à de vives confrontations entre les politiques et les architectes tenants du Mouvement moderne. Mais l’histoire de la réception de Sabaudia ne s’arrête pas là et se poursuit jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Aux volontés des politiques cherchant à recomposer l’histoire de cette ville et à l’inscrire dans un patrimoine culturel commun, s’ajoutent les nombreuses analyses d’historiens et d’architectes, et l’engouement des artistes et intellectuels engagés.
