Resumo: O presente artigo visa identificar o estado da arte da pesquisa quebequense tratando do ensino das ciências humanas e sociais no primário[1], ressaltando suas contribuições e seus limites para alimentar a formação e a prática dos professores. A análise temática do conteúdo de 53 publicações científicas coloca em evidência a existência de uma pesquisa construtivista e inclusiva centrada numa visão crítica e reflexiva do ensino das ciências humanas e sociais no primário. No entanto, trata-se de uma pesquisa essencialmente descritiva que transita entre a lógica do sistema (práticas prescritas) e a lógica do sujeito (práticas declaradas). As práticas efetivas realizadas pelos professores e futuros professores em contextos complexos, assim como as atividades de aprendizagem realizadas pelos alunos (lógica da ação), são desse modo pouco estudadas. Nesse sentido, a articulação entre aquilo que é prescrito e declarado e aquilo que acontece concretamente na sala de aula é ainda pouco explorada.
