Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Growth rate of piglets until weaning or until the end of the first rearing period was monitored in the only Slovenian autochthonous breed – Krškopolje pig. For the evaluation of growth rate during lactation (until weaning), piglets (n=156) from 7 organic and 11 conventional farms were weighed. For the evaluation of growth rates in the first rearing period, three piglets (castrates) per litter were selected from 14 farms/litters at the average age of 54 days and average weight of 14 kg, and were assigned within litter to three groups. One group (n=14) was given organic feed mixture, while other two groups (n=28) received conventional feed mixture. After 58 days, the piglets were weighed again. Piglets raised on organic farms had 20% lower growth rate during lactation than piglets raised on conventional farms, but the difference was not statistically significant (P=0.15). Growth rate of piglets sampled from 14 farms for monitoring in the first rearing period (until average weight of 36 kg), fed either conventional or organic feed mixture, was not significantly different (391 vs. 361 g/day, respectively; P = 0.60).

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
