À partir d’une lecture de La Prise de parole et autres écrits politiques de Certeau, cet article se propose de comprendre pourquoi cet auteur connu de la « French Theory » n’est pas plus présent dans la « critique postcoloniale » ou dans la « critique subalterne » avec qui il partage pourtant de nombreuses préoccupations concernant, entre autres, le pouvoir de dire, les mécanismes de la domination, les rapports du dominé au langage.
