Abstract
La présence russe au Moyen-Orient doit être envisagée dans le temps long. L’intervention militaire russe en Syrie de 2015 doit se comprendre au travers du prisme des expériences militaires afghanes (années 1980) mais aussi de l’invasion américaine de l’Irak de 2003. Cependant, même si les leçons de ces expériences militaires passées ont été tirées, force est de constater qu’après plus deux années de présence militaire russe en Syrie, le succès éventuel de cette intervention est loin d’être garanti.
