Abstract
Tout comme la société, l’école connait des transformations et doit s’adapter aux mouvements démographiques, aux enjeux politiques, aux activités économiques ainsi qu’aux progrès scientifiques et technologiques. Dans un tel contexte, pour bien gérer l’école, la direction est appelée à développer ses compétences, voire à adapter continuellement ses fonctions et ses pratiques pour favoriser la réussite éducative. Le présent numéro thématique propose sept articles. Ces derniers exposent des recherches empiriques menées auprès de directions d’école et de directions adjointes. Ces recherches ont été élaborées dans différentes provinces canadiennes, voire en Haïti ou, encore en collaboration avec la Suisse.
