Abstract

Introdução: A hemofilia tem um impacto significativo sobre a Qualidade de Vida Relacionada à Saúde. Desta forma, instrumentos para avaliação da qualidade de vida podem ser uma forma de verificar o impacto de graves complicações da doença sobre a vida dos pacientes. Instrumentos específicos para crianças e adolescentes são escassos, destacando-se o Canadian Haemophilia Outcomes Kids Life Assessment Tool (CHO-KLAT). Objetivo: Realizar uma revisão de literatura sobre a utilização do instrumento CHO-KLAT, considerando o histórico de validação, a reavaliação e adaptação transcultural e as vantagens e desvantagens de sua utilização. Metodologia: Foram consultados os portais de periódicos Medline, Lilacs, Scopus e SciELO, entre o período de 2004 a 2016, com os seguintes descritores: “qualidade de vida” e “avaliação” ou “instrumento” e “hemofilia” e “Canadian Haemophilia Outcomes: Kids' Life Assessment Tool” ou “CHO-KLAT”, em português, espanhol e inglês. Resultados: Foram selecionados 15 artigos para leitura na integra e avaliação. Os resultados demonstraram que a maioria dos estudos (60,0%) que utilizaram o instrumento CHO-KLAT foram realizados no Canadá. Com relação à adaptação transcultural e/ou validação, foram encontrados seis artigos. Além disso, três publicações realizaram uma análise crítica do instrumento, duas aplicaram o instrumento CHO-KLAT e um artigo apresentou uma revisão sistemática. Conclusão: Observa-se uma escassa literatura sobre este instrumento. Portanto, espera-se que os resultados obtidos contribuam para futuros trabalhos relacionados a aplicação de instrumentos específicos de avaliação da qualidade de vida em crianças e adolescentes com hemofilia, especialmente o CHO-KLAT.
