Abstract
La question des représentations et de la symbolique des plantes dans la littérature caribéenne est d’une importance capitale. Il s’agit de comprendre comment le rapport au lieu, et à l’espace impacte l’imaginaire populaire ainsi que le processus scripturaire chez les écrivains porte-paroles de cette pensée et du discours vernaculaire. Il y a lieu de parler d’alchimie du verbe et de transfert de la parole dans le discours romanesque et ou poétique. L’espace forestier, le biotope sont les ingrédients d’analyse du discours littéraire qui faciliteront une lecture nouvelle du texte littéraire et de la poïétique. Cette analyse doit déboucher nécessairement sur ce que nous devrions appeler une géophiliosophie et une "géographie".
