Abstract
Depuis 2013, le Conservatoire d'espaces naturels du Limousin utilise la méthode « Syrph the Net » pour évaluer les conditions de conservation des habitats dans la Réserve Naturelle Nationale des Dauges (Haute Vienne, Nouvelle Aquitaine). Dans le cadre de cette étude, la composition des communautés de syrphes (Syrphidae, Diptera) a été déterminée et utilisée pour évaluer l'intégrité écologique du site. Pendant trois années, l'étude a apporté une contribution substantielle à la connaissance de ce groupe taxonomique en Haute-Vienne. Un total de 2.905 syrphes appartenant à 115 espèces ont été capturés et identifiés. L'intégrité écologique de la réserve a été jugée bonne (61 %). Les habitats forestiers, qui couvrent environ 75 % du site, ont obtenu un score d'intégrité écologique de 60 %. Les hêtraies et les chênaies, les plus communs des habitats forestiers dans le site, se caractérisent par un net déficit en espèces spécifique des stades sénescents et des micro-habitats associés. En revanche, le score d'intégrité écologique était élevé dans les bois de châtaigniers et de bouleaux. Le score d'intégrité écologique des habitats ouverts était de 67 % et leurs conditions de conservation ont été jugées bonnes à très bonnes. Dans les milieux humides, les espèces de syrphes présentant une faible tolérance aux conditions d'inondation étaient sous-représentées. Dans l'ensemble, les résultats suggèrent que la restauration des habitats ouverts, initiée il y a 15 ans par le Conservatoire des espaces naturels du Limousin, a été couronnée de succès.
