Esta tesis pretende dar el conocimiento de estos sistemas de transmision y recepcion de television digital, poniendo a consideracion sus parametros tecnicos sus diferencias, ventajas y desventajas, adoptar un sistema de television digital llego a ser una politica de estado. Existen tres tipos de normas para la adopcion de la television digital, el sistema europeo (DVB, Digital Video Broadcasting), que se aplica en los 27 paises que integran la Union Europea y Uruguay; el estadounidense (ATSC, Advanced Television System Comitee), que se aplica en EEUU, Canada, Corea del Sur y Mexico y el japones (ISDB, Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting), que se aplica en Japon, aparte existe en pruebas una version de este sistema japones modificada, en Brasil y finalmente una en fase de desarrollo el cual es DBMT que es de la Republica Popular de China. La Supertel, organismo encargado de realizar las pruebas de campo y laboratorio para todos estos sistemas, realizara en las principales ciudades del pais las respectivas pruebas y estas estaran presentes en este trabajo de tesis, como conclusiones al final de este trabajo de investigacion daremos nuestro punto de vista tecnico, como futuros ingenieros en telecomunicaciones estamos en la capacidad de hacerlo.
