Abstract
Cet article analyse la place réservée aux Slaves dans le discours sur l’ethnogenèse des Moldaves, apparu dans l’historiographie soviétique avec le concept de groupe ethnique moldave. Entre 1924 et le milieu des années 1930, la question de l’individualité ethnique des Moldaves reste marginale. En raison du rejet du nationalisme russe et de l’idéologie panslave, même dans les rares études consacrées à l’ethnogenèse des Moldaves, on n’insiste pas sur le rôle particulier des Slaves. La situation change au milieu des années 1930, avec le retour du panslavisme et du nationalisme russe. Les auteurs soviétiques mettent en lumière le concept de groupe ethnique moldave et insistent sur les liens profonds qui unissent la Moldavie et le monde slave oriental. En outre, presque tous les auteurs soviétiques sont prêts à présenter les Moldaves comme des Ukrainiens.
