Quintessenz b Regelmässiger Alkoholkonsum ist eine der wichtigsten Ursachen für einen erhöhten Blutdruck und/oder eine schwierig einstellbare Hypertonie.b Unterschiedliche pressorische Effekte von verschiede- nen Alkoholika sind bei identischer Zufuhrmenge durch Charakteristika des Konsumenten bedingt (z.B.Trinkmuster).b Aufgrund möglicher kardioprotektiver Effekte von Alkohol werden andere pathophysiologische Effekte (wie z.B. pressorische Effekte) des Alkohols nicht beachtet und vergessen.b Die pressorischen Effekte des Alkohols sind auf Popu- lationsebene u.U. wichtiger als die pressorischen Effekte von Salz.b Höhere Mengen von Alkohol können den Stoffwechsel verschiedener Antihypertensiva beeinflussen (z.B. von Betablockern).b Bei täglichem Alkoholkonsum kann eine Reduktion der Trinkfrequenz (nicht mehr täglich) bereits in einer Blutdrucksenkung resultieren.Quintessence b La consommation régulière d'alcool est l'une des causes les plus importantes d'hypertension artérielle et/ou d'hypertension difficile à maîtriser.b A consommation équivalente, les effets presseurs dif- férents de différents alcools sont définis par certaines caractéristiques du consommateur (par ex.habitudes de consommation).b Du fait des éventuels effets cardioprotecteurs de l'alcool, d'autres effets physiopathologiques de l'alcool (par ex.effets presseurs) son négligés et oubliés.b Les effets presseurs de l'alcool sont parfois plus impor- tants que ceux du sel au niveau de la population.b De grandes quantités d'alcool peuvent avoir une in- fluence sur le métabolisme de différents antihypertenseurs (par ex.bêtabloquants).b En cas de consommation quotidienne d'alcool, une baisse de la fréquence de consommation (devenant donc moins souvent que quotidienne) peut déjà faire baisser la tension artérielle.
