Ursula Franklin (1921Franklin ( -2016)), a pioneer archaeometrist at the University of Toronto, was recognized in Canada as a stellar scientist, and an activist for the cause of science, peace, and feminism.She was the first female to be named University Professor at University of Toronto (1984).She received several awards, including " Officer (1981) and Companion (1992) of the Order of Canada", the Governor General's award in commemoration of the "Person's Case" for the advancement of equality for girls and women in Canada (1991) and the
