Abstract
El artículo introduce de forma somera el concepto de “guerra justa” e intenta ubicar la ética profesional canadiense con fundamento en la dignidad humana, el servicio de Canadá y la obediencia a la autoridad legal, en el contexto de la intervención en Afganistán. La discusión de textos oficiales que datan de la época en que la implicación de Canadá había sido la más intensa, y la de un caso particular, permite demostrar la “tensión natural” entre la necesidad de obtener resultados y la de respetar normas éticas superiores.
