Abstract
Dalam materi sosiologi di SMA terdapat Kompetensi Dasar tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat dan kearifan kokal, salah aspek yang dibahas adalah tentang kearifan lokal dalam bencana alam. Tulisan ini berangkat dari hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi ajat tentang mitigasi bencana, karena materi ajar yang ada pada buku paket Sosiologi di SMA masih bersifat tektual dan belum kontekstual dengan kondisi sosio-budaya masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Padang, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pemilihan infoman dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dan terstruktur, observasi partisipasi pasif, Focus Group Discussion, dan studi dokumen.
