L’enseignement et l’action créative : de l’inférence comme indice de professionnalisation du futur enseignant de musique

Abstract
« Comment la société organise-t-elle des expertises ? » À partir de la question formulée par le sociologue américain Abbott (1988) et dans le cadre d’une recherche menée par l’équipe DAM de l’Université de Genève, nous nous sommes penchés sur les pratiques des formateurs et des étudiants en chant — le premier assumant institutionnellement un rôle d’experts. Nous avons analysé ces pratiques sur la base des trois opérations caractéristiques du professionnel : le diagnostic, l’inférence et le traitement, théorisés par Abbott. Leur mise en parallèle avec les pratiques de transmission depuis le XVIIe siècle jusqu’à nos jours nous a permis de mettre en relief de profondes transformations dans l’enseignement du chant dit « classique », notamment dans l’étape d’inférence. Cette étape permettrait au professeur de chant expérimenté de déployer sa créativité, mais constituerait aussi un vrai défi pour l’étudiant en voie de professionnalisation.
