Abstract
Le présent document est une mise à jour et une révision de la Description de l'architecture de l'Infrastructure canadienne de données géospatiales (ICDG) publiée en 2001. Depuis ce temps, des progrès importants ont été réalisés dans le développement de l'ICDG. Les cinq premières années ont été consacrées à la mise en place d'une infrastructure comportant des données et des services et à l'établissement de relations et de partenariats clés. La mise à jour de ce document repose sur de vastes consultations avec les intervenants. Nous avons reçu de précieux apports en utilisant des techniques de consultation traditionnelles et en ligne lors d'un processus de consultation à multiples facettes. Les contributions des uns et des autres ont permis de préparer et de présenter une architecture qui englobe les réflexions et les propositions de ceux qui s'intéressent de près à l'avenir de l'ICDG.
