Este artigo buscou analisar como a devoção mariana mobiliza e sensibiliza a solidariedade, especialmente aquela dispensada aos devotos durante a festividade do Círio de Nazaré em Belém do Pará, que tem o seu ápice na procissão de abertura realizada no segundo domingo de outubro. Essa solidariedade vem se tornando notável na festividade com a participação da Igreja Assembléia de Deus localizada no percurso da procissão principal. Dessa forma, este estudo foi desenvolvido com base na pesquisa bibliográfica e na observação participante, a fim de compreender melhor alguns aspectos da solidariedade manifestada pela Assembleia de Deus, apesar de não ser exclusiva desta, que ao mesmo tempo em que oferece cuidados, alimentação e acolhimento aos devotos e romeiros fadigados durante a procissão, apropriam-se de alguns objetos simbólicos da festividade e o momento oportuno para mostrarem porque se fazem presentes.
