Abstract
Las universidades poseen el reto de dar mayor visibilidad de sus producciones científicas y de aumentar su uso e impacto en toda la comunidad. La visibilidad web de la producción académica, científica y tecnológica, entendida como facilidad de reconocimiento y acceso a los contenidos, es un elemento fundamental para la distribución equitativa del conocimiento y para la construcción de una representación interactiva del patrimonio cultural. Desde la Declaración de Budapest, la ciencia se entiende como servicio a la humanidad y como herramienta para la comprensión de la naturaleza humana y la sociedad en su conjunto. En este marco, la visibilidad de la producción científica se vuelve instrumento necesario para cumplir con dichos objetivos.
