Abstract
De 1980 à 1997, Pedro Almodóvar a, dans ses films, systématiquement ridiculisé la police. Comme il le soutenait au commencement de sa carrière de réalisateur, l’Espagne ne craignait plus une institution qui fut la main droite d’une dictature. Pendant les années de la Transición toutefois, le rôle et l’image de la police, vue comme un ennemi social, change d’un film à l’autre. Le spectateur peut voir cette évolution se déployer dans les premiers films d’Almodóvar. Cet article suit le développement de l’image de la police dans ces films, développement conçu comme une série caricaturale qui émerge d’un long processus de castration désirant empêcher le corps policier de reproduire une dictature.
