Abstract
À partir de récits de pratiques et de gestes rituels liés à la mort, nous montrerons dans cet article en quoi Facebook peut jouer un rôle central dans les pratiques de deuil et de gestion de la mort en milieu autochtone. Il s’agira d’insister sur le dynamisme des traditions autochtones et de documenter les expressions du deuil et les conceptions autochtones de la mort observées dans les réseaux socionumériques. Loin de constituer un point de rupture, Facebook et les réseaux socionumériques permettent de renforcer les réseaux de soutien, de solidarité et d’échanges et participent de la redéfinition des patrimoines visuels autochtones. Nous interrogerons en outre la place du corps et de ses représentations dans ces processus.
