Après Les Larmes, La Nécessité D'Une Analyse de la Tuerie de L'École Polytechnique : Une Entrevue Avec Francine Pelletier
Bibliographic record
Abstract
In this interview, Julianne Pidduck and Maude Gauthier discuss the changing public perceptions of the Polytechnique massacre and the politics of media representations of the trauma with feminist journalist and documentarist Francine Pelletier. A columnist for the Montreal daily La Presse in 1989 and former editor-in-chief of the Quebec feminist magazine La Vieen Rose (1982-1987), Pelletier was named in Lepine's notorious "hit list" of 19 feminists mentioned in the killer's suicide note. Pelletier was instrumental in the publication of this suicide letter that was initially suppressed by the police, and she directed a 1999 documentary for the CBC entitled "Legacy of Pain" about the after-effects of the massacre. Pelletier has contributed some of the most insightful public commentaries about the massacre in both French and English Canadian media over more than two decades.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
