Abstract
El documento transcrito narra el primer viaje realizado por el comisario argentino Antonio Ballvé a la ciudad de Santiago de Chile, en el marco de los contactos establecidos entre la policía de esta ciudad y el equipo editorial de la Revista de Policía de Buenos Aires. Este formato fue fundado y dirigido en sus primeros años por el propio Ballvé y por su colega José Cesáreo, quien también formó parte de la delegación que visitó las dependencias de la policía chilena. El texto, escrito por Ballvé pero firmado bajo el nombre de Bedel –uno de sus pseudónimos–, fue incluido íntegramente en el número 67 de la publicación que dirigía el comisario. También se publicó de manera parcial en otros formatos de alto tiraje de la prensa de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Contiene 15 páginas mecanografiadas en dos columnas, donde se intercalaron tablas estadísticas, grabados y fotografías, provenientes, en su mayoría, de los archivos de la Policía de Santiago. La crónica de este viaje ocupó la totalidad de páginas del referido número 67, lo que no era usual en la publicación, que por lo general presentaba una amplia variedad de contenidos...
