Abstract
Loin d’etre depassee, l’idee de souverainete est de retour a l’avant-scene. Mais plutot que d’abandonner ce « retour » de la nation aux mains des populismes de droite, il est grand temps de rearticuler question sociale et question nationale dans une perspective emancipatrice. En revisitant les ecrits des Aquin, Vadeboncoeur, Dumont, Rioux, du Front de liberation des femmes et de Parti pris, Eric Martin reactualise le slogan des annees 1960-1970 «Socialisme et independance». Socialisme au sens de democratisation de l’economie, mais aussi d’une societe orientee vers la justice et le bien commun. Independance parce qu’aucun projet a visee emancipatrice ne peut etre mis en place tant que subsiste le carcan colonial et imperial du federalisme canadien sur les Quebecois.es et les Autochtones. Un pays en commun propose de renouer avec un «socialisme d’ici», pour sortir du dialogue de sourds entre inclusifs et nationalistes conservateurs et enraciner au Quebec un veritable projet de souverainete republicain et ecosocialiste.
