Établissant d’abord que l’éclatement du social doit être saisi comme une notion et non comme un concept, cet article analyse la recomposition du social en cours, la plaçant sous la figure d’un Prométhée toujours actif qui achève la structuration technocratique du social. Par ailleurs, ce processus finit d’accomplir la saturation qui amène le social à un éclatement par implosion. La forme technocratique s’emballe et Prométhée s’épuise à la tâche. Cet épuisement permet cependant à Dionysos de faire sentir davantage sa présence sur la scène sociale, donnant ainsi lieu à un éclatement du social par explosion.
