Le monde a changé, mais certainement pas la structure qui se démasque au fur et à mesure des phénomènes émergeants. Avant, les hommes convaincus de leur toute-puissance vivaient leur donjuanisme comme une prouesse masculine. Aujourd’hui, les femmes, dont le désir s’est libéré de l’entrave phallocentrique, prouvent cliniquement que la compulsion sexuelle d’un sujet (femme ou homme) est d’abord une angoisse. Avant d’être l’expression d’une liberté sexuelle, il s’agirait plutôt d’une errance du désir, du fait même de l’impossibilité interne à la pulsion. Ce qui ramène le désir des deux sexes anatomiques sur le même plan structural, et, de fait, chez les deux partenaires, à leur propre traumatisme interne à la racine même du désir.
