La présente recherche exploite les données de l’étude «Lire-écrire au CP» pour déterminer et analyser la part du numérique dans l’enseignement de la lecture en première année d’école élémentaire en France. En moyenne, près de 6 % des tâches de lecture-écriture sont effectuées avec un support numérique. Si l’utilisation de l’ordinateur ou de la tablette demeure marginale, on note en revanche une percée du tableau numérique interactif (TNI). Parmi les 131 classes participant à notre étude, 24 en sont équipées. Elles l’utilisent en moyenne 117 minutes par semaine pour travailler la lecture-écriture. L’analyse des vidéos de ces classes témoigne d’une utilisation majoritairement assez proche de celle du tableau traditionnel. Les analyses multiniveaux conduites n’ont permis de déceler aucun effet de ce type d’usage du TNI sur les progrès des élèves.
