Abstract
Die in Canada wirkende Pionierin von Elder Mediation beschreibt in diesem Beitrag das Selbstverständnis der in diesem Feld tätigen Mediatorinnen und Mediatoren. Sie ist die Präsidentin des Elder Mediation International Network (EMIN). Der Beitrag dient u.a. dazu, Elder Mediation im Kreis von Fachleuten und möglichen Nutzerinnen und Nutzern der Dienstleistung bekannt zu machen. Die Wirksamkeit kann mit mehreren Studien belegt werden. Der von der Autorin für die Perspektive Mediation verfasste Text wurde von Helen Matter übersetzt und von den HerausgeberInnen leicht gekürzt.
