La violence conjugale est un enjeu majeur de santé publique en France. Parmi les éléments entrant en ligne de compte dans l’émergence de ce type de violence, apparaissent des facteurs de risque d’ordre biologique, sociaux mais également psychologiques. De nombreuses études scientifiques, en particulier canadiennes, ont mis en évidence une prépondérance d’un attachement de type insécure chez les auteurs de violences conjugales. D’un point de vue plus psychanalytique, ces individus, le plus souvent des hommes, sont souvent confrontés à une dépendance affective vis-à-vis des femmes. La dynamique du passage à l’acte, déclenchée par l’angoisse de perte d’objet et la confrontation au manque, intervient alors dans une tentative de réparer des blessures intérieures non cicatrisées. Si l’on se situe dans cette perspective, la mise en place d’une psychothérapie individuelle axée sur cette problématique peut présenter un intérêt et faire partie intégrante de la prise en charge de ces sujets.
