René Daumal, auteur du célèbre Mont Analogue, suivit l’enseignement gurdjieffien entre 1932 et 1944, année de sa mort. Il fut emporté par la tuberculose à l’âge de 36 ans laissant son œuvre littéraire inachevée. Cette note de lecture sur l’ouvrage collectif rédigé par quelques élèves de l’Institut Gurdjieff de Paris, met en relief la recherche, à la fois poétique et spirituelle, de René Daumal. L’article n’étant pas un essai, mais une simple note de lecture, le lecteur trouvera en bas de page l’accès, dûment signalé, aux références sur l’œuvre et la vie de l’écrivain, répertoriées minutieusement dans le livre publié par « Le Bois d’Orion ».
