IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE BUENAS PRÁCTICAS EN ENFERMERÍA: PROGRAMA BPSO COMO HERRAMIENTA PRINCIPAL

Abstract
Los cuidados de enfermería de excelencia y a la vanguardia del conocimiento, se constituyen como un objetivo para la atención de enfermería actual. Así mismo, se busca establecer cuidados seguros y de calidad, apoyados en recomendaciones basadas en evidencia científica que proporcionen un sustento sólido para la práctica profesional. Es por esta razón que Clínica Las Condes decide adscribir al programa de buenas prácticas en Enfermería de la Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) implementando 5 de 54 guías de buenas prácticas (BPG) generadas por esta asociación. El objetivo de este artículo es comunicar las principales estrategias de implementación, dificultades y logros alcanzados mediante el uso de guías de práctica clínica. El trabajo realizado de manera sistemática se ha facilitado mediante la formación de champions, quienes son el eslabón más importante para lograr el real uso de las prácticas basadas en evidencia y un verdadero impacto en la reducción de eventos adversos de enfermería durante la estadía del paciente en la institución de salud. El futuro del programa en Clínica Las Condes está enfocado hacia la gestión de riesgo y prevención de eventos adversos. Es allí donde el programa de buenas prácticas de RNAO asume un rol protagónico al convertirse en herramienta principal de este gran objetivo sanitario. Nursing care of excellence and the vanguard of knowledge, constitute an objective for current nursing care. Likewise, it seeks to establish safe and quality care, supported by recommendations based on scientific evidence that provide a solid basis for professional practice. It is for this reason that Clínica las Condes decides to ascribe to the program of good practices in Nursing of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) implementing 5 out of 54 guides of good practices (BPG) generated by this association. The aim of this article is to communicate the main implementation strategies, difficulties and achievements achieved through the use of clinical practice guidelines. The work carried out in a systematic way has been facilitated by the formation of champions, who are the most important agent to incorporate the real use of evidence-based practices and a real impact in the reduction of adverse events of nursing during the stay of the patient in the health institution. The future of the program at Clínica Las Condes is focused on risk management and prevention of adverse events. This is where the RNAO program of good practices assumes a leading role by becoming the main tool of this great healthcare objective.
