Abstract
The public square has prominence in popular quarters, where the community lacks of leisure alternatives, understanding the square as a potential place for the development of the sports activities, of the parties of the quarter and the formation of sociability nets. The present work has for objective to analyze as if it establishes some forms of use of the Square Dona Mocinha , Niteroi quarter in Canoas/RS and which significances users of this place are attributed. In the field research we use the method. We perceive that the square reflects the dynamics of the city as territory of conflicts and sociability’s.
