Abstract
Émanant d’une volonté commune de concertation pour une refonte de la loi de 1971 et un élargissement du droit à la formation continue, les points de vue émis dans ce texte prennent appui sur les institutions et les expériences existantes dans le but explicite de dessiner une cohérence nouvelle et une meilleure coordination de la politique de la formation professionnelle en France. Après avoir rappelé brièvement les enjeux et défis multiples auxquels la société française contemporaine, à sa troisième phase de révolution scientifique et technique est confrontée, l’auteur avance en regard de l’émergence de nouveaux besoins de qualification, quelques objectifs susceptibles de fournir des pistes pour une refonte de la loi de 1971. À travers deux grands axes représentés par l’amélioration des pratiques des négociations actuelles et une redéfinition des mécanismes du congé de formation, il voit là un moyen d’obtenir une mise à jour et une réarticulation de la formation continue.
