Abstract
Derrière les pratiques de gestion contemporaine se cache un enjeu portant sur la recherche de stratégies visant l’augmentation de la performance organisationnelle. Malgré la variabilité des résultats obtenus, les gestionnaires persistent à recourir à des solutions axées sur la réduction des coûts. Conséquemment, le recours aux restructurations organisationnelles s’est intensifié depuis une vingtaine d’années en raison de son impact à court terme sur la masse salariale. Les recherches sur le sujet ont toutefois mis en exergue certaines limites sur la valeur des résultats anticipés. Cet article vise à établir les conditions de succès propices à assurer le succès d’une restructuration. Les études de cas provenant du secteur manufacturier mettront en évidence des conditions de succès qui permettront de jeter un éclairage nouveau sur un sujet porteur et criant d’actualité en augmentant notre compréhension de ce phénomène complexe, mais recherchée autant la part de la communauté des affaires et scientifique.
