Abstract
Depuis les années 1990, on observe un renouveau des communs tant comme revendication d’actions collectives contre la dépossession que comme objet de recherche. Au regard de la multiplication des publications sur le sujet ces dernières années, cet engouement ne semble pas faiblir, au contraire. Il apparaît dès lors nécessaire de faire le point. Dans un premier temps, il s’agit donc de dresser un état des lieux conceptuel afin de distinguer les biens communs, les communs et le commun. Dans un deuxième temps, à partir des différentes définitions proposées, cet article aborde les liens établis par la socioéconomie des communs (Ostrom et al., Coriat et al.) et la sociopolitique du commun (Dardot et Laval) entre propriété, marché et État, soit le triptyque de la modernité juridique. Dans un troisième temps, nous évoquerons l’impensé de la dimension technique des communs informationnels. En guise de conclusion, nous esquisserons à grands traits les perspectives offertes par une économie politique culturelle des/du commun(s). L’objectif de cet article est de rendre compte des principaux apports et limites des recherches sur le(s) commun(s) afin d’ouvrir la voie à de nouveaux champs d’investigation.
