Abstract
La recepción crítica de la literatura de Ángel Ganivet permite concebir el suicidio del individuo-escritor como una cancelación de la “falacia intencional” denunciada por el New Criticism así como una problematización de la “muerte del autor” propugnada por Roland Barthes. En el caso de Ganivet, extrapolable a otros escritores suicidas, la muerte voluntaria coloca al llamado autor real (reducido a una construcción discursiva que rivaliza con su propia escritura) en el centro mismo del análisis crítico, al tiempo que su obra (considera frustrada, incompleta) en cierto modo queda huérfana de autor y, por ello, particularmente expuesta a manipulaciones interpretativas.
